Tommy Caldwell
The other day as I was digitizing the video for the site I found myself almost weeping. I sat there watching Toy and Tommy thinking what a tragedy. Tommy was such an amazing talent. His high energy, incredible playing, and magnetic charisma made him the perfect "Rock Star". There are so many great players in the world. However, there are not a lot of Great Stars. Tommy, was one of those few. Tommy is someone I truly wish I could have had the opportunity to just sit and hang out with. Sadly, Tommy died in in 1980 just weeks after he and Toy's younger brother Tim was killed in a car accident. By 1993, Toy Caldwell Sr. (Toy and Tommy's Father) had done what no parent should have to do, bury all of his children. I regret to say, Toy Sr. passed away January of 2006. I only wish he could have lived to see his sons receive the recognition they deserve.
